There are plenty of times where your extensive experience, logical thought process and well planned out diagnostic techniques bring you to the true faulty component in minutes, and every single one of those is completely cancelled out by that one time where you made an assumption that sent you into a never-ending spiral of doubt, confusion and misery. Look on the bright side, at least you didn’...
Bro i have Audi TT 2.0 turbo 2008 model. After recent engine removal for gasket change, the coolant fan alwas on as soon as the ignition is on. I have changed coolant sensor as well still the issue not fixed. Let me know if you came across such issue and how to fix it.
Thanks for posting. Your amateur video is better than 98% of the stuff out there. Keep them coming even a short 5 minute video is appreciated.
Thanks for sharing!👍👍
Awesome to see you back on the you tube , I was in Justin's BMW class at vision this year and almost got to sit next to you. Didn't get a chance to introduce myself though 😢
Good CAN Bus review and fix. Thank you Brin!

Hit a pot hole now my damn b6 s4 fans run perfect at idle...but as soon as I give it throttle they go all the way down to freaking 22%..... In 117f weather it's a mofo
Your video reminds me of a cardiologist. I’m gonna call you an Enginologist ! So what was the overall cost of that repair? I’m just a consumer, but I’m having issues on my 2012 and have the same code. I liked your video and appreciate your in-depth knowledge.
Very helpful. Thanks.
Sorry I missed the live. But great case studies! Thanks as always
Great video. Question: are all the modules on class 2 network both receivers and transmitters? If so, are they always transmitting or only when pinged? Thank you in advance for your answers.
Can you use this on a single cylinder engine?
Perfektno svaka cast.Moj problem misterija.A4 b6 19 2004 .Kasno pali ventilator 103 105 c.Probali sve dijagnostika nista ok.Kompjuter davaci svi promenjeni.Motdul reostat isto.Pod klimom radi .Ali nema tu brzinu i kad se upali kao na snimku sporo nesto.Savet pomoc ako moze.Hvalaaaaaa
Hi! Great video, I'm digging more and more into the possibilities that the vibro and accoustic diagnostics can give, instead of tearing everything apart and blindly looking for the source of noise. Question from me - how did you install the pressure transducer in the second measurement? Do you put it instead of spark plug? Is the engine idling during the test or you just crank it with a starter? Does PicoScope allow to perform the FFT processing and show the noise spectrum? Can you perform the envelope function, or is it possible to export the raw measurement data to process it in other environment?
Super helpful!
thanks!
Missed it!
What’s up cell block d
Brendon, so applying the same, we could supply respective 5V or 12V or Ohm or Duty Cycle directly to the subject wire, simulating the normal running enivornment? Last time I learnt applying grounding circuit for diagnosis purpose, which just englightened my diagnostic horizon. Yes, I am a newbie diagnostician.
Just diagnosed a 17 Golf with the same issue but module is mounted on rear of single fan. Had to order new fan to get module. Your testing is right on only issue is puncher end on tool for the wires destroys the insulation for copper wire that gets coroaded by salt if you are in an area were they use road salt for winter creating opens in harness. Better to use paper clip push in beside wire in plug to test circuit. Have a lot of electrical issues due to punctured casings on wiring harnesses due to testing tool punctures.
Have the same issue. while fan is on full speed as soon as the ignition is on, and then i start ac the fan turns off and turn on again after a delay ac not blowing any cold air. The compressor wont click .... when I clear the code ac starts cold again.. it is the same problem as yours?
You rocked those COMMS! Great job and nice gift to the community!
Excellent troubleshooting Sir!!
Bob is my uncle 😂
Just took my 2014 ram hemi into dealership to get fixed. Has a tic and cylinder 2 misfire. Was worried it was the lifters. They said it looked good. Looked at it for 6 hours charged me $300 and fixed nothing.
Its alot of thinking.. me as human being.. i get fix and forget about it... that stuff is not for heaven..
I'm confused how depinning the control wire shows that control module has an issue? Supposedly a lot of these control modules turn the fan on full blast when there's no PWM signal detected?
Awesome, thank you for sharing that
So five years later i hit on this vlog, if that garage is yours and u own it top man, if that garage aint yours and you work there they aint paying you enough and your talent is wasted, great vlog great explanation , you have a great easy way to explain things that is instantly understandable, brilliant vlog...
Excellent diagnostic process, thanks so much for the class, i appreciate a lot 👍🏻
I almost didn't watch this until the very end. I'm glad I came back to finish watching. I have the exact same amp draw on the same fuses but my map lights aren't the problem. 😕
hi, can u please provide a link where I can buy the scott connector upgrade kit. Thanks
how about programing, oe or j2534
How do I get that same setup?
Hello. Did you had any warning light on the cluster? For this fan problem
Great video, but would love to have seen the fix to the problem.
Very good diagnostic, Chris, I have my A6 C6 with the same problem I suspect, Many thanks.
Interesting how things keep coming around... Concerning Keith's case study at the end, the Fluke 860 series graphical meters (I have an 867B) have a "component" test that does much more. Over 20 years ago (and others likely before then) it was often used to verify component drivers and the circuits to them. Not only does it tell you the circuit is complete but indicates the characteristics of the circuit. This was one of the best meters ever built. Graphing fuel pump current didn't require a probe.
is CAN bus available on a CHARGER RT 07 ? Thank you
I always use break arm for ground
Enjoy your Christmas, Trained by Techs 👍 SHARP, SHREWD,ASTUTE, QUICK-WITTED Trained by Techs From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧 06:56am Good Morning 🙏 🌧 and more 🌧
U say 7 volts but your meter said 3.70volts ? Explain please
Show and explain what your are connecting I can visualize and follow what you are doing to set it up. I had no idea what each lead was and which ones were being connected to the battery. This was a beginners video. Guys watching these videos watch to learn how to set up the tool. Then we get here and the tech doesn't show us how he sets it up. I attached my leads to the pos a negative you say then something blue to something and then to the scope. I'm lost How bout these two leads I have here (say what they are and do and where there go on the car and what they connect to one the scope. I be seen hundreds of these and almost all of they skip this part. So I couldn't do a scope test very well cause step one has really been demonstrated well. Guys just skip it cause most of you know how. Ahow long it take to do this 2 extra minutes
As a former teacher I would show my connecting each clamp and saying where at the same time. Why cause you got too many wires and it's confusing. A lot of times people watch this and have never used a scope. You aren't reaching that audience. They are scratching there head at what they are seeing. Go to this is for a real beginner audience
I don't see that much adjustment on pico7.
With 2 int and 1 exh you dont have driveability issues, but viceversa probably yes. Thats why 3 valves engine have 2 int and 1 exh. Its easier to push thru exh than pull thru int
